PUB2: Irregular Wrap Polygon Is Not the Same After Undo

PUB2: Irregular Wrap Polygon Is Not the Same After Undo

Q101915

-------------------------------------------------------------------
The information in this article applies to:

 - Microsoft Publisher for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a
-------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

If you customize the irregular wrap polygon around a picture, then
choose to wrap text around the entire frame instead, you cannot regain
your customized irregular wrap polygon by choosing Undo from the Edit
menu. When you choose Undo, Publisher creates a new, standard
irregular wrap polygon, instead.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Publisher versions 2.0 and
2.0a. This problem was corrected in Publisher version 3.0 for Windows 95.

Steps to Reproduce Problem
==========================

1. Create a picture frame and import a picture.

2. With the picture selected, choose Picture Frame Properties from the
   Layout menu.

3. In the Wrap Text Around area, choose Picture Only, and choose OK.

4. From the Format menu, choose Crop Picture. The individual points of
   the irregular wrap polygon appear.

5. Pull some of the polygon points out to form an obviously different
   shape.

6. From the Layout menu, choose Picture Frame Properties. In the Wrap
   Text Around area, choose Entire Frame and choose OK.

7. From the Edit menu, choose Undo.

Instead of restoring the irregular wrap polygon you had most recently,
Publisher creates a new, standard irregular wrap polygon. The custom
changes you made are lost.
