Works Err Msg: Divide by Zero with the IBM 4029 Accelerator

SYMPTOMS

Works for Windows will display a "Divide by Zero" or an "Integer divide by zero" error message after you choose Print Preview when all of the following conditions exist:

  • IBM 4029 Accelerator printer driver is selected in Printer Setup.
  • Executive Paper Size (7 1/2 X 10 1/2 in) is selected in Printer Setup.

NOTE: This error will not occur when printing the document, only when previewing it.

WORKAROUND

Use the standard IBM 4029 printer driver (not the Accelerator).

NOTE: If the Divide by Zero Error message appears when you first open Works immediately after installing it, test this problem by changing to the Generic/Text only printer driver. If this corrects the problem, either reinstall the current printer driver or install the newest version of the current printer driver.
