Article ID: Q101083
Creation Date: 04-JUL-1993
Revision Date: 04-JAN-1996 The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft Access Distribution Kit version 1.1
  • Microsoft Access Developer's Toolkit version 2.0

SUMMARY

Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.

The Microsoft Access Distribution Kit (ADK), or the Microsoft Access Developer's Toolkit (ADT), Setup program will install the ADK or the ADT in an ADK or ADT subdirectory beneath the directory you specified in the Setup dialog box.

NOTE: This behavior no longer occurs in Microsoft Access Developer's Toolkit for Windows 95.

MORE INFORMATION

The Setup program is designed to install the files in an ADK or ADT subdirectory below the ACCESS directory or the directory you specify.

When you run the Setup program, a dialog box prompts you for the directory in which you want to install the ADK or ADT. The default directory is C:\ACCESS. If you accept this directory, Setup will install the files in the directory C:\ACCESS\ADK (or ADT). Note that if you were to specify C:\ADK as the directory in which you wanted the files, Setup would install them in C:\ADK\ADK.
