SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to install the updated Microsoft Windows for Workgroups network driver, the error message "The file WFWNET.DR_ could not be found" appears.

CAUSE

The WFWDRV Setup program was not run from the drive containing the disk with the updated driver.

RESOLUTION

Run the Setup program from the drive containing the disk with the updated driver.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access version 1.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Access version 1.1.
