You can count the number of rows (records) in a table (or selected portion of a table) in Word by using the Word Count feature:
- Select the entire table (hold down the OPTION key and double-click the table) or the specific rows that are to be counted.
- From the Tools menu (the Utilities menu in version 4.0), choose Word Count.
- Select the Lines check box and choose Count.
The number of rows in your table (selection) will now appear to the right of “Lines” under the “Main Text” heading.
