INF: LIB32.EXE Converts Object Files to COFF Format PSS ID Number: Q100640 Article last modified on 01-20-1994

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Visual C++ for Windows NT, version 1.0

LIB32.EXE converts object modules (.OBJ files) into COFF objects before inserting them into a library. Therefore, a Microsoft format .OBJ file (non-COFF) inserted into a library will not have the same size when it is extracted from the library.

This should not be a problem because the Visual C++ compiler produces COFF objects.
