The information in this article applies to:

  • Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows, versions 3.0 and 4.0
  • Microsoft Windows operating system, version 3.1
  • Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4/4M Printer Driver, versions 31.V1.03-31.V1.08 ———————————————————————-

SUMMARY

Horizontal lines that extend along most or all of the width of a slide will not print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) LaserJet Series 4 printer when you print at 600 dpi in HP-GL/2 mode.

An example of a presentation with lines that don’t print are the lines under the days of the week and the dates that make up the calendars from the CALENDAR.PPT time-saver presentation.

The horizontal lines print if you upgrade to version 31.V1.18 of the HP LaserJet Series 4 driver or print in the following modes:

  • HP-GL/2 mode at 300 dpi
  • Raster mode at 300 dpi or 600 dpi
