WINDOWS

The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for Windows, versions 2.0, 2.0a, 2.0a-CD, 2.0b, 2.0c

Summary:

If the actual size of the paper on which you print is shorter than the page length setting in the Page Setup dialog box, the footer in your Word for Windows document may not print. This may happen if you print using an international version of Word or if you print a document formatted for standard international paper sizes (such as A4) in the U.S. version of Word.

More Information:

For example, if you create a document in the French version of Word, formatted for the standard European paper size (approximately 12 inches long) and then open the document in the U.S. version of Word and print it on a printer that contains Standard U.S. Letter paper (11 inches long), the footer may not print.

Workaround

Change the paper size in the Format Page Setup dialog box to reflect the actual dimensions of the paper on which you print your document.
