The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Works for the Macintosh, version 3.0

SYMPTOMS

In a Microsoft Works Database document, calculated fields created after the one-hundredth-twenty-eighth field created are not updated automatically.

WORKAROUND

To make a calculated field update correctly when information is entered in a cell affecting it, create the calculated field before the one-hundredth- twenty-eighth field created. It can then be moved anywhere else in the database and function correctly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Works version 3.0. This problem no longer occurs in Microsoft Works version 4.0.
