- Verify the WRKSWIN.CNV file is located in the MSAPPS\TEXTCONV subdirectory of your WINDOWS directory. If it is missing, perform a custom installation of Works for Windows and select "Converters for Word Processor and Graphics" from the list of choices.
- If the WRKSWIN.CNV file is not missing, verify that the MSWorksWin conversion path in the WIN.INI file is correct using the following steps:
- Open the WIN.INI file in a text editor such as Notepad.
The MSWorksWin line in the [MS Text Converters] section of the WIN.INI file should read as follows (and should appear on ONE line):
MSWorksWin=Works for Windows 2.0,C:\WINDOWS\MSAPPS\TEXTCONV\ wrkswin.cnv,wps
- Make any necessary corrections, save the WIN.INI file, and restart Windows.
