Google Chrome was created by Google and was first released to the public as a beta on September 2, 2008 for Windows. As of December 2, 2010, the current build of Google Chrome is 8.0.552. There is also an operating system made by Google and is open source. It is called Google Chrome OS, which is based off of the Google Chrome browser and uses the browser as the main program when using the operating system. The operating systems that supports Google Chrome are Windows (XP SP2 and later), Mac OS X (10.5 and later, Intel only) and Linux.
