BetaArchive is one of the largest repositories of beta and alpha builds of software on the Web.

It was opened in August 2006 by Andrew Whyman and is currently managed by Andrew "Andy" Whyman with the assistance from co-admin mrpijey and the moderators. The site features a FTP server which is accessible once a user has attained the Advanced Member status on the forum.

Member Ranking System

The post-based stars member ranking system, shown between the user's avatar and user name, works a follows: 50 Posts = 1 star 300 Posts = 2 stars 750 Posts = 3 stars 1000 Posts = 4 stars

Member Groups

There are 4 primary member groups on BetaArchive, namely Admin (reserved for Andy and mrpijey), Moderator (Hounsell, Daniel, Vista Ultimate R2, Beta Freak, Rioter, Andrew and Alpha-Critik), VIP (people who donated US$5.00 or GBP2.50 or most people with 750 posts or more) and Advanced Member (10 contributing posts).

Getting to the Advanced Member status and VIP status is not automatic, as they will have to be approved.
