86Box is an IBM PC system emulator developed by Miran Grca (Battler), based on the PCem emulator, that runs old operating systems and software designed for IBM PC systems from 1981.
Supported guest operating systems
This is an incomplete list of OSes that can run on it.
- MS-DOS and IBM PC-DOS
- Windows versions up to Windows XP (and most pre-reset Windows Longhorn builds, except 4001).
- Linux distributions that support running at least on a Pentium
- NeXTSTEP/OPENSTEP versions 3.x and 4.x (including some Rhapsody developer releases)
- Minix-PC 1.x, 2.x
- BSD (Only FreeBSD version 6.x and OpenBSD i386 tested).
