- Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006
When you try to use the Transaction Integration (TI) Designer in Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 to import a COBOL (.cob) file or a text (.txt) file, the Import wizard disappears. You do not receive any error messages, and no events appear in the Event Viewer.
This problem occurs when you are logged on as a user who is not a member of the Administrators group or the HIS Administrators group.
This problem occurs because a logic issue exists in the TI Designer. When you try to modify an interface, the permissions check may deny access. If permission is denied, the TI Designer stops.
To work around this problem, make sure that the user who is running the TI Designer is a member of the HIS Administrators group or the Administrators group.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
Steps to reproduce the problem
- Create a user who is not a member of the HIS Administrators group or the Administrators group.
- Create a BizTalk Adapters for Host Files project.
- Import a COBOL file. Notice that the Import wizard disappears.
