Excel: EXEC() Function Is Compatible with System 6.0.x

SUMMARY

Page xliv of the version 4.0 "Microsoft Excel Function Reference" states that the EXEC() function is supported only by a Macintosh using System 7.0 or later. This information is incorrect. The EXEC() function is also compatible with Macintosh system software versions 6.0.x. However, if you are using a version 6.0.x of the Macintosh system software you can use only the first argument in this function (PROGRAM_TEXT).

Note: In order to use the EXEC() function, your Macintosh must be running under MultiFinder.
