Error message when you try to start ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.2 by using a command line on a computer that is running Windows Vista: "Access Violation"

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.2 by using a command line on a computer that is running Windows Vista, you receive the following error message:

Access Violation.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if the drive letter is case sensitive. For example, this issue may occur if the command line contains the following path:

c:\Program Files\ProClarity\ProClarity Desktop Professional\ProClarity.exe


However, the issue may not occur if the command line contains the following path:

C:\Program Files\ProClarity\ProClarity Desktop Professional\ProClarity.exe


WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, create a desktop shortcut for the ProClarity.exe file, and then start ProClarity Desktop Professional 6.2 by using the shortcut.
