Error message when you try to drag a package object in Works Word Processor on a Windows Vista-based computer: "Microsoft Works 8 has stopped working"

SYMPTOMS

If you click Cancel in the Create Package dialog box, and then you drag a package object in Microsoft Works Word Processor on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following error messages:

Microsoft Works 8 has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Note This issue does not occur on other Microsoft Windows operating systems-based computers.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, do not click Cancel in the Create Package dialog box. After you create the package object, drag the package object anywhere in the document.
