- Run the DBCC INPUTBUFFER statement.
- Enable trace flag 1204 to troubleshoot a deadlock situation.
- Use the Deadlock Graph event class to trace deadlock events.
- Use the Activity Monitor component of Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
However, SQL Server returns any of the following results:
- Statements in the previous batch.
- The previous remote procedure call (RPC) event.
- A NULL value.
CAUSE
This problem occurs if the Sp_cursorprepexec system stored procedure is being executed while you obtain the statements in the current batch.
