When you fast forward or rewind a TV program or a movie to find a specific location on a Windows Media Center PC, the image on the screen does not match the content that appears in the progress indicator timeline at the bottom of the screen.

For example, when you fast forward or rewind a program, the image that appears on the screen updates slowly. Alternatively, the section of the video program that plays when you start a program differs from what appears on the screen when you fast forward or rewind the program.

This is a known issue with the fast forward and rewind functions in Windows Media Center. Currently, we are researching this issue to obtain more information.

  • Currently, there is no resolution for this issue. We are working on a resolution.

To work around the issue, use the progress indicator timeline to approximate the location in the TV program or the movie. Do not use the timeline to try to find an exact location.

Note You can also use the skip and replay controls to advance through the program or the movie.
