  • Microsoft SoftGrid for Windows Desktops

SYMPTOMS

When you try to start Adobe Acrobat 6.0, the startup (splash) screen remains for several minutes.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, add the path of the folder that contains the Acroboat.exe file to the .osd file. To do this, add the WORKINGDIR element within the IMPLEMENTATION element in the following format:

<WORKINGDIR>DriveLetter\Package Root Directory\path to executable</WORKINGDIR>

For example, if the Acrobat.exe file is located in the Q:\Adobe60.v1\Acrobat folder, configure the WORKINGDIR element as follows:

<IMPLEMENTATION>
<WORKINGDIR>Q:\Adobe60.v1\Acrobat</WORKINGDIR>
</IMPLEMENTATION>
