APPLIES TO

  • Microsoft Office Forms Server 2007
  • Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You sign data in a Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007 browser form in one language. Then, you open the InfoPath 2007 browser form on a server that uses a different language. Next, you digitally sign the data. In this scenario, the text in the Digital Signature Signing dialog box is displayed in the original language.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs after you install the digital-signature ActiveX controls for one language. The digital-signature ActiveX controls are not reinstalled for a different language unless the original digital-signature ActiveX controls are manually uninstalled.

WORKAROUND

To remove the digital-signature ActiveX controls in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet Explorer 6.
  2. Click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click View Objects.
  5. Right-click each digital-signature ActiveX control, and then click Remove.

For example, click DigitalSignatures Control Class and DigitalSignatures Resources Control Class.

To remove the digital-signature ActiveX controls in Windows Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet Explorer 7.
  2. Click Tools, point to Manage Add-ons, and then click Enable or Disable Add-ons.
  3. In the Show box, click Downloaded ActiveX Controls.
  4. Select each digital-signature ActiveX control, and then click Delete.

For example, select DigitalSignatures Control Class and DigitalSignatures Resources Control Class.
