When you try to upgrade a Windows-based computer to Windows Vista from an earlier version of Windows, the upgrade process is unsuccessful for either hardware or software reasons. Then, the computer does not rollback to the original operating system. Additionally, the computer may restart continuously.
This problem occurs because the rollback process does not initiate automatically after the upgrade process is unsuccessful.
To resolve this problem, press the DOWN ARROW key, and then select the Windows Setup Rollback entry from the menu options when the computer restarts.
