SYMPTOMS

When you run an application that is built by using the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0, the managed heap becomes corrupted. Additionally, you receive an error message that resembles the following in the application event log:

Message : NET Runtime version 2.0.50727.42 - Fatal Execution Engine Error (7A05E2B3) (80131506)

CAUSE

This problem occurs when a garbage collection pointer that was pushed on the stack is not updated.
