SYMPTOMS
When you perform a Desktop Configuration Refresh, or you start an application in Microsoft SoftGrid, you receive the following error message:
Additionally, the following error message is logged in the SoftGrid Client log file (Sftlog.txt):
The following error message is logged in the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server log file (Sft-server.log):
CAUSE
This problem may occur if you do not have access to the application or to the provider policy. This problem may also occur if the "?Customer
" entry that is specified in the HREF attribute of the CODEBASE element in the .osd file is misspelled.
RESOLUTION
Verify that you are a member of a group that is associated with the application. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the SoftGrid Management Console, and then connect to the SoftGrid Management Web service.
- Expand Console Root, expand SERVER NAME, and then expand Applications.
- Right-click the application that is reported in the error code, and then click Properties.
- Click the Access Permissions tab.
- Verify that you are a member of one of the groups that is listed.
Verify that you are a member of a group that is associated with the provider policy. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the SoftGrid Management Console, and then connect to the SoftGrid Management Web service.
- Expand Console Root, expand SERVER NAME, and then expand Provider Policies.
- Right-click Default Provider, and then click Properties.
- Click the Group Assignments tab.
- Verify that you are a member of one of the groups that is listed.
If you still experience this problem, open the .osd file, and then make sure that the "?Customer
" entry is not misspelled. For example, if the .osd file is configured to use an Anonymous Provider Policy, the .osd file will contain the following entry:
