SYMPTOMS
You try to deploy a security template. To do this, you use the Scwcmd.exe tool in an unattended installation of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2. However, the installation fails, and you receive the following error message:
Note Scwcmd.exe is the command-line tool of the Security Configuration Wizard.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, install the hotfix that is mentioned in the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
931296 Error received when you deploy a security template together with an unattended installation of Windows Server 2003 R2: "-2147467259"
STATUS
