SYMPTOMS
When you click Download Report or Run Report on the More Actions menu in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0, you cannot download or run a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 report.
Note You can run the Excel 2007 report by double-clicking the report.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
- You use Windows Internet Explorer 7.
- You do not use the default security settings in Internet Explorer 7.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1
Reset the security settings to the default level for the local intranet zone. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer 7.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- On the Security tab, click Local intranet, click Default level, click Apply, and then click OK.
Method 2
Enable the Automatic prompting for file downloads security settings. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open Internet Explorer 7.
- On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
- On the Security tab, click Local intranet, and then click Custom level.
- In the Security Settings - Local Intranet Zone dialog box, click Enable under Automatic prompting for file downloads.
- Click OK two times.
