When you try to use the SC tool (Sc.exe) to shut down the service for the BizTalk host instance in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
After you receive this error message, the service for the BizTalk host instance is stopped. However, the SC tool may need two minutes or more to shut down the service.
This problem occurs when a Microsoft Message Queuing receive location is enabled in BizTalk Server 2006.
Additionally, an error message that resembles the following may be logged in the System log:
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.

This hotfix does not replace any other hotfixes.
The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. This problem can occur if the Message Queuing adapter is not initialized correctly or if the SC tool cannot find the Message Queuing service that is running on the computer that is running BizTalk Server 2006.
