You do not receive a response when you press any of the controls on the Zune device.
This behavior occurs when the Hold switch is in the locked position.
THINGS TO TRY
- Move the Hold switch to the unlocked position.
Note To make sure that the Hold switch is in the unlocked position, you may have to move the switch back and forth until the switch is in the correct position.
The Hold switch is a button on the top of the Zune device that you can slide back and forth to "lock" or "unlock" the device. When the Hold switch is in the locked position, the switch is closest to the picture of a lock that appears next to the switch. You will also see a red background color that is exposed when the switch is in the locked position.
