Issue that the hotfix package fixes

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you search for content that is located on a SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Web site, the content is not found. Instead, the search process closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive a "1304" error message.

    This problem may occur if the following conditions are true:
    • A crawl of the content on the SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Web site is currently being performed.
