SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You use the Windows OEM Preinstallation Kit (OPK) to install the Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong version of Microsoft Windows XP. Then, you install update 893756. In this scenario, the Taiwan option is no longer available in the Country/region list in the modem properties dialog box. RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing.
