MORE INFORMATION

To use your Xbox 360 console to play content that is stored on your Zune device, follow these steps:

  1. Connect your Zune device to an Xbox 360 console. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Turn on the Xbox 360 console.
    2. Connect the Sync Cable to the Zune device or to the Zune Dock.
    3. Connect the other end of the Sync Cable to a USB port on the Xbox 360 console.
  2. Play content on an Xbox 360 console that is stored on your Zune device. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. In the Media section of the Xbox Dashboard, select one of the following options, and then press the A button:
      • Music
      • Pictures
      • Video
Note Podcasts may be located under Music or Video, depending on the type of podcast.
    2. From the list of available devices, select your Zune device, and then press the A button.

Note If your Zune device does not appear in the list, you may have to press the X button to change the source. Also, make sure that no other portable device, such as an iPod, is already connected. If another portable device is connected, disconnect both devices, and then connect only the Zune device. Also make sure that you have the latest Zune firmware update installed on your Zune device. To update the Zune device, connect the Zune device to the computer that has the current Zune software installed, and then update the device to the current device software version.
