- Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) for Windows Server 2003
- Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services
If you install Microsoft Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) for Windows Server 2003 on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, RMS does not work as expected.
This problem occurs because the Internet Server API (ISAPI) filter that is installed together with Windows SharePoint Services intercepts HTTP requests. The ISAPI filter also blocks access to other applications.
To resolve this problem, configure Windows SharePoint Services to exclude the RMS path (wwwroot\_wmcs) from its ISAPI filter. For more information about how to exclude this path, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
