SYMPTOMS

In Performance Monitor, you may notice that the values of the following counter items under the MSExchangeMTA object do not change:

  • Work Queue Bytes
  • Inbound Bytes Total
  • Outbound Bytes Total

And, you may notice that the values are larger than expected.

RESOLUTION

Because of file dependencies, this hotfix requires Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2).
