SYMPTOMS

When you run the latest beta release of Microsoft Office Communication Server 2007 on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1)-based computer, the Office Communication Server 2007 process (Rtcsrv.exe) stops responding. Therefore, all Live Communication client programs, such as Communicator Web Access and Communicator Mobile, are affected.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an issue with the Winhttp.dll file. Office Communication Server 2007 uses the Winhttp.dll file to communicate with other servers. However, the Winhttp.dll file incorrectly processes an entry in the SECURITY_CACHE_LIST element. Therefore, Office Communication Server stops responding.
