When you uninstall Windows AntiSpyware (Beta), all files may not be removed from the System32 folder

SYMPTOMS

When you uninstall Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta), the following four files may not be removed from the System32 folder:

This problem occurs if the Windows Genuine Advantage Validation Tool is installed on the computer after Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, manually delete these files after you install Microsoft Windows Defender. Windows Defender does not require these files.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
