The hotfix that is discussed in this article is not available for the Chinese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM or for the Japanese version of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
SYMPTOMS
When you type the name of an existing contact in the To line, the CC line, or the BCC line of a new e-mail message in Microsoft Office Outlook, the auto suggestion cache does not suggest an e-mail address for the contact. This problem occurs after you change a field other than the e-mail address field of a contact in Outlook, and then you synchronize Outlook with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook. After you send another e-mail message to the contact that you created, the auto suggestion cache suggests an e-mail address for the contact.
RESOLUTION
Hotfix information
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next service pack that contains this hotfix.

Steps to reproduce the problem
The following steps assume that you have a contact in the global address list (GAL) for Outlook and that you have sent an e-mail message to this contact.
- Add the contact from the GAL to the local Outlook contacts, and then track the contact in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0.
- In an e-mail message, type the name of the contact in the To line, in the CC line, or in the BCC line. Notice that the auto suggestion cache provides the complete e-mail address.
- Change a field other than the e-mail address field of this contact in Outlook, and then synchronize Outlook with the Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Outlook.
- In a new e-mail message, type the name of the contact in the To line, in the CC line, or in the BCC line. Notice that the auto suggestion cache does not suggest an e-mail address for this existing contact. The auto suggestion cache only works after you have sent another e-mail message to the contact that you created.
