SUMMARY

This article describes the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 issues that are fixed in the Outlook 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package that is dated October 29, 2006.

List of issues fixed

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

  • When you view an e-mail message in the Outlook 2003 preview pane, English characters may be displayed incorrectly in the subject line.

    This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
    • On the Advanced tab of the Regional and Language Options dialog box, Chinese (PRC) is selected in the Language for non-Unicode programs list.
    • The language locale is set to English (US).
  • In an e-mail message that is in rich text format (RTF), you select an attachment. Then, you click Cut on the Edit menu. When you reply to the e-mail message, you may receive the following error message:

    Error occurred during creation of an ActiveX control
