- Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise Edition
Consider the following scenario:
- You use a Virus Scanning Application Programming Interface (VSAPI) application on a server that is running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003.
- You create two mailboxes that have circular auto-forward rules.
- The VSAPI application cleans a virus-infected message. Then, a virus scan engine scans this message.
In this scenario, the mail store continues to grow. Eventually, the mail store becomes so large that an outage occurs. This prevents all users who are homed on this Exchange server from accessing the server.
