Summary:

In Microsoft PowerPoint, if text is copied to the Clipboard and displayed, or pasted to the Scrapbook, it may display truncated. This is because PowerPoint displays text using fractional widths, while the Clipboard and Scrapbook do not.

For example, bold, 12-point Times text that is copied to the Clipboard appears cut off. Pasting this same text into Microsoft Word version 4.00 can result in truncated text if Fractional Widths is not selected in Word’s Page Setup dialog box. If the text is pasted into MacDraw II, the text appears correctly because MacDraw II automatically supports fractional widths.
