Excel: Built-In Menu Bar ID Numbers

SUMMARY

Microsoft Excel versions 2.20 and 3.00 have six built-in menu bars, as follows:

  1. ID = 1 This represents the macro sheet or worksheet menu bar that appears when Full Menus are active.
  2. ID = 2 This represents the chart menu bar that appears when Full Menus are active.
  3. ID = 3 This represents the null menu bar, which appears when no documents are displayed on screen.
  4. ID = 4 This represents the info menu bar, which appears when Show Info is chosen from the Window menu.
  5. ID = 5 This represents the macro sheet or worksheet menu bar that appears when Short Menus are active.
  6. ID = 6 This represents the chart menu bar that appears when Short Menus are active.
