Summary:

PowerPoint Graph comes with 21 built-in number formats and holds a maximum of 64 formats. This allows you to create up to 43 additional formats for your datasheet.

Formats can have up three sections, which are separated by semicolons. The number of sections determines the format for positive numbers, negative numbers, and zeros, in that order. If only two sections are included, the first one is used for both positive numbers and zeros, and the second one for negative numbers. If you have only one section, all numbers use that format.

For further information on creating custom number formats and information on the formats that you can use, refer to Pages 274-277 of the “Microsoft PowerPoint User’s Guide.”
