Summary: The following is a list of methods to use when performing a copy in Word for Windows. All methods support copying of text between documents. 1. Edit Copy command: Copies both character and paragraph formatting. Uses the clipboard, allowing multiple copies. 2. Copy Key: CTRL+INS. Copies both character and paragraph formatting. Allows multiple copies. 3. Copy From/To Key: SHIFT+F2. Copies both character and paragraph formatting. Does not use the clipboard; multiple copies not
supported. 4. Copy Using Mouse: CTRL+SHIFT+right mouse button. Copies both character and paragraph formatting. Does not use the clipboard; multiple copies not supported. Copy Using Mouse: CTRL+SHIFT+left mouse button. Copies either character formatting or paragraph formatting. Does not use clipboard; multiple copies not supported. 5. CopyFormat: Macro command. Copies character or paragraph formatting. Uses the clipboard; multiple copies possible. 6. CopyText: Macro command. Copies text only. Uses the clipboard; multiple copies possible.
