Microsoft Project for Windows searches the directories included in the DOS path statement for both the VIEW.MPV and the CALENDAR.MPC files during boot time. If either of these files is present in a directory in the path, it will be loaded during the bootup of Microsoft Project for Windows.
To prevent Microsoft Project for Windows from automatically loading either of these files, choose Rename from the File menu and rename the file or move the files to a directory that is not listed in the path statement.
NOTE: This information does not apply to later versions of Microsoft Project for Windows.
