In DocuComp, the Comparison Window consists of two window “panes” stacked vertically. The top pane displays the newer document. The bottom pane displays the older document.
The text in the two panes is tied together by the current cursor in one document; the cursor moves automatically to the corresponding place in the other document.
The Comparison Window is an automated version of a side-by-side comparison of two printed documents. The automated method enables you to do the following:
- Easily scroll to any part of one document without having to search for the corresponding section in the other document.
- Readily identify the differences in text while retaining the ability to read the “before and after.”
- Review how changes were made before printing or saving the comparison.
For additional information, see page 42 in the “DocuComp Automatic Document Comparison Program” manual.
