Summary:
To transfer files from FileMaker 1.0 to Microsoft File, do the following:
- Open the file in FileMaker.
- From the File menu, choose Output To.
- Select the appropriate fields to save (or click Move All to save all fields).
- Click the Text and Unformatted buttons and save the file.
This file can be opened into all versions of File using the following procedure:
- Open File and create a new data file.
- Define appropriate fields, and close the form.
- From the File menu, choose Open Datafile and open the saved data file.
To transfer files from Microsoft File to FileMaker, do the following:
- Create a new database (or open an existing one) with appropriate fields.
- From the File, menu choose Input From.
- Select the appropriate fields from the list (or select Move All to import using all fields).
- Click the Text button and click Input to read the file.
