Note: The following is a problem only with the version of the Crosstab macro shipped with Microsoft Excel version 2.20. The Crosstab macro shipped with Excel version 3.00 centers properly on all size screens.

When the Microsoft Excel Crosstab macro is run on a Macintosh with a small monitor, the custom dialog box it displays will appear in the lower-right corner of the screen, cutting off the bottom of the dialog box.

To reposition the dialog box, do the following:

  1. From the Window menu, choose Unhide.
  2. Select Crosstab and click OK.
  3. Replace the number in cell C2 with a blank.
  4. Replace the number in cell D2 with a blank.
  5. From the File menu, choose Save.
  6. From the Window menu, choose Hide.

When the macro is now run on a database worksheet, the dialog box will be positioned in the center of the screen, regardless of the size of the screen.
