Summary: In the Format Section dialog box of Microsoft Word for Windows version 1.x, there is a Line Between check box that allows you to indicate a vertical line between columns. If you select this box, a line is printed between the columns of text. To format text to appear in columns in Word for Windows version 2.0, choose Columns from the Format menu. Indicate the number of columns in the Number of Columns edit box. If you select the box labeled Line Between, a line prints between the columns for text. Note: The line between columns does not appear in the draft, page layout, outline, or normal (galley) view modes of Word for Windows. The line between the columns only appears in print preview. To preview the line between the columns, choose Print Preview from the File menu.
