SUMMARY

Microsoft Project for Windows and Macintosh does not provide a graphical view of cost data. However, since Microsoft Project for Windows is a Windows application, it can easily share its data with other Windows applications.

Project for Windows version 3.0 includes a Graphing module that allows you to attach graphed data to tasks or resources.

To graphically view Project cost data, do the following:

  1. From the Table menu, choose Define Table. Create a new table or edit the existing Cost table so that the information in which you are interested is displayed (delete ID numbers?).
  2. Select the cost information required. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.
  3. Activate another Windows application (such as Excel).
  4. Paste and then graph the cost data in that application.
