The information in this article applies to:
- Microsoft Word for the Macintosh, versions 4.0, 5.0, 5.1

SUMMARY

When you use the Next File command to consecutively number all pages in a series (by linking files), all views of the document show the page number for the second file as starting at 1.

The new page numbers are not visible because Word does not calculate and display the actual page numbers until it actually prepares the print job. (Holding down the SHIFT key and choosing the Full Repaginate Now command does not affect this calculation.)
