Summary:

To export files from Informix's WingZ into Microsoft File, you must export the files as text, as shown in the following example:

  1. Open the document in WingZ.
  2. From the File menu, choose Save As.
  3. Choose Text from the pop-up menu, and save the file.
  4. Open a new data file in Microsoft File.
  5. Create fields in the form window, and close the form.
  6. From the File menu, choose Open Datafile, and select the WingZ text file.

To export files from Microsoft File into WingZ, export the files as text, as shown in the following example:

  1. Open the file in File, and choose Save As from the File menu.
  2. Click the Text option and click Save.
  3. This file can be opened directly by WingZ.
